Since the bitter defeat & loss of territory of 1805, l' Austria had been difficult with l' work the revision & l' expansion of its military machine. In 1808, the Austrian government estimated that during the release of the war d' Spain, Napoleon would have to make too much to be able to devote important forces to face there. On February 25, 1809 de Friedrich Wilhelm-Brunswick concluded an agreement with the Austrians to raise a body d' infantry & of cavalry to fight at their sides like they invaded its old fields, which raises the population against their French Masters & to require a revenge lengthily awaited on hated Napoleon.
